Counselling for Adults and Children

Counselling provides a safe and non-judgemental approach to exploring issues or feelings which are causing difficulty.  These may include bereavement, loss, trauma, divorce, anxiety, relationships, bullying, depression, self-esteem issues.

Adults may simply wish to talk, but a variety of resources are available to help explore difficult emotions in various ways, with which the client may feel  more comfortable.  No special skills are required; there is no 'right' or 'wrong' way of using the resources.

Children may be helped to express their feelings using paint, sand tray and miniatures, puppets, music, and other available resources.  Children can be seen at home or at school, with the appropriate arrangements being made with the school setting.  Schools may also book counselling sessions either on an individual basis or for a number of children on a half-day or full-day weekly basis over the period of a term.
